Over the next few weeks, an update will be available to your Instant On mobile app, switches and access points. Software release 2.9 adds the highly requested expanded software update delay window, additional details on switch SFP transceiver information screen, and enhancements to the PoE scheduling option.
Many users have a dedicated network update window, and your feedback was to extend this window from 7 days to 30. After the 2.9 update, future updates can be pushed out as far as 30 days allowing you to hit a specific support window.
PoE Site scheduling has been very popular with many of our portal and app users, allowing them to turn the PoE feature on and off automatically, but the process of applying the schedule to multiple ports was very time-consuming. We have updated the PoE scheduling to be applied to multiple ports at once, saving time and reducing the headache of programming each PoE port.
Along with the correct channels being displayed according to country regulations, we have added in support for the 20MHz channel width in the 5 GHz band, giving you more control over your wireless network.
Additional updates are:
· Adding support for coming Wi-Fi 6 access points
· Control multi-cast optimizations (IGMP snooping) per network
· Facebook Wi-Fi captive portal option removed from UI
· Bug fixes and usability improvements
Expect updates appear in your Instant On portal and mobile app the first week of November.
