The HPE Networking Instant On Access Points—AP21 and AP32—are the latest Wi-Fi 6 access points (APs) that help small and medium businesses drive growth with next-generation networking.
The Instant On AP21 offers affordable Wi-Fi 6 connectivity for smaller spaces, and because it works great with Smart Mesh, it can be a starting point for a more advanced network. It is recommended in low-density or low bandwidth-demanding networks with up to 50 devices, like small retail shops or team meeting rooms. While considered a low-density AP, the AP21 still packs a punch with up to 1.5Gbps of wireless throughput with its dual-band radios. The 2.4GHz band ensures your legacy devices stay connected with Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n), while the 5GHz band broadcasts Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax only) for newer devices brought in by employees and customers. AP21 has a small footprint, making it great for spaces where wall mounting an AP is required, such as retail stores.
The Instant On AP32 is a Wi-Fi 6E AP that offers enhancements to Wi-Fi 6, with a dedicated 6GHz band for 6E-enabled devices, more bandwidth, and lower latency. For growing businesses operating with the latest laptops, smartphones, and other wireless devices with Wi-Fi 6E capabilities, AP32 is a tri-band, dual-radio wireless AP with a 2.5 gigabit Ethernet uplink port. It has a selectable band feature, allowing you to choose which Wi-Fi bands you want to enable. For the highest wireless throughput of 3.6Gbps, activate the 6GHz and 5GHz bands or select the 6GHz and 2.4GHz broadcast options for optimal range. It can support up to 75 simultaneous devices, making it a great fit for moderate traffic and moderate-density workspaces.
