  • 1.  WPA3 and MacOS Catalina

    On my InstantOn deployment I have WPA3 turned on for some SSIDs. I recent migrated to the latest MacOS (Catalina) and had problems getting there. My installs would end in the black screen of death (similar to the windows blue screen). I've tracked it down to WPA3. The instant I try to join a WPA3 capable SSID it dies. If I change that SSID to just WPA2, it dies. Anyone else have problems with WPA3? Some of my SSIDs supporting home automation it seems I had problems with WPA3. So maybe it's just half baked.

    @bcrawfo2 I would check the support forums for macOS and WPA2 and WPA3 issues. You can also reach out to Instant ON support and have them review the logs to see if they can see any issues.

    We recently identified an issue where certain clients had trouble connecting to SSIDs with WPA3 enabled. Changing the SSID to WPA2 gets rid of the connectivity issue. This issue will be fixed in an upcoming software version.
