  • 1.  Layer 4 features in 1930 series?

    Hello,

This is a question for someone very well-acquainted with the 1930 Instant On series.

On page 3 of the 1930 series datasheet:

    https://www.arubainstanton.com/files/DS_AIO_1930SwitchSeries.pdf

    This is mentioned:

    Advanced classifier based QoS
Classifies traffic using multiple match criteria based on Layer 2,
    3, and 4 information.

Does this mean there are actual layer 4 features on this switch?  If not, what is the extent of Layer 4 features and on which SKUs?

    Thanks in advance!

I have no idea why Aruba mentions Layer 4 with regard to QoS. Quality of Service uses two ways to prioritize data traffic: Class of Service (COS) operates at Layer 2 and Differentiated Services Code Point (DSCP) operates somewhere "between" Layer 2 and Layer 3.
