Radiation pattern AP11-15?

  • 1.  Radiation pattern AP11-15?

    is there any documentation that shows the radiation patterns of these AP?  At least the AP15 has a metal back so do the radiation lobes project forward or  do they create a 360 sphere?

    Thanks, so it appears based on that doc these are intended to be ceiling mounted and according to the side view, if I'm understanding this correctly there's only slight degredation to the RF radiation going in the direction behind the AP.  I would have assumed more due to the metal back of the AP.

    I believe the radiation patterns are logarithmic. So a 3 db drop is about half the range/power. Based on the picture it appears that there is about 10 dB less going out the top. So that would be less than 1/8th of the power being focused down.

    I would stay away from AP22 for now. Firmware is a mess since release and all owners get is the silent treatment.

    @JaapVaak I agree.. I have same problem as you. spoked to support today, none of my ap22 was in the support database, so they cannot create support ticket hehe. AP22 with 2.1.1 sucks  β€‹

    i just found out that they should be release a fixed firmware soon. hopefully this fixes the issues as what is happening is that the traffic is getting dropped over the wireless

    Yup, I've been told v2.2.0 should come in days (not weeks) and stuff should get better. 

    Hope to be satisfied, I want this to be a hassle free 'set and forget' accesspoint :) with automatically pushed (security)fixes if needed.

    Just need solid connectivity to start from v2.2.0 🀣

    @JaapVaak release notes for 2.2.0 are up. Hoping they fix the issues with the switch blocking ipv6 when it's in cloud control mode. Looks like some welcome additions from the notes. β€‹β€‹

    My APs and switches are stuck at "Updating Firmware" and won't update.

    Update:

    After a manual reboot of the devices the update finally worked.

    Update:

    Now the Portal Offers me to install 2.1.1 again. The APs are currently on 2.2.0.

    Switch update out on the cloud already?
    I put mine in local mode cuz the cloud turns on features that destroys ipv6 on my local network.
    Was going to go back to cloud after this update to see if they fixed that.
