Instant On - Wireless

Is it possible to use multi-SSID with AP11?
Also, can I assign a VLAN for each SSID?

@uema All Instant ON AP's support up to 8 SSID's and the AP11 does not have the ability to have multiple VLAN's supported. The AP's support doing NAT.

Do any of the instant on AP's support multiple vlans? This is ciritcal for segregating untrustworthy IOT devices even on a home network.

You can set one VLAN for each SSID (or per Network).  I have such a setup where I put my IoT devices on their own VLAN and then set the Network Access to Restricted in the configuration, which isolates those devices from my other private networks.

Quite easy to setup too if you are using the 1930 Instant On switch.

 

You can use VLAN on AP11D

we don't have intant on switch, but c2950 only. i have plan to create multi ssid with different vlan. i did configure native vlan xx on switch for ssid 1, and then trunk vlan xxx but the AP gone offline. after i change configuration from native to access and AP going online but only carry access vlan

Did you try to create wired networks (vlans) on InstantON portal?

It should work if you create wired networks on InstantON and trunk vlans on the switch port.

I have AP11 on 2930F on trunk port without any problems.
