now you only have the option to select bridged mode or NAT and set a range. There is no option to set a range and starting address for distribution, or even make a reservation. This would be a nice feature for customers that don't have a server running DHCP

When you select the NAT mode for a specific SSID, the AP will automatically assign a range of IPs internally (and provide NAT functionality as well). Hence, there is no need for the customer to have an external DHCP server for the clients in that SSID as the AP itself acts as one. This makes the configuration very simple. 

Is there an ETA on DHCP reservations?
How about only allowing specific MAC addresses to connect to an SSID?
