I've got 4 Aruba IO access points in a home installation and i want to swap my unmanaged dlink switches for aruba managed swtiches. The main switch requires 12-14 ports and a 24 port switch "seems" like an overkill... would 2 x 8P Instant On Switches do the trick, or would i really want to keep all the ports in the same chassis (meaning I'd have to go with 24 ports)?

Also, i ran my cabling about 5-6 years ago when Cat 6 was the best i could get. Would PoE still be an option for my Cat 6 cabling?

    Thanks,

    Ernie

@EH A 24 port switch would be the best recommendation for your network to keep it simplified. Cat 6 is still fine and supports PoE.
