  • 1.  Problem with new Voice VLAN Feature

    Posted 12-17-2020 01:11 PM

I just tested the new Voice VLAN Features in Aruba Instant On Switches (Managed by the Aruba Instant On Portal).

I activated the VLAN for Voice and everything worked as expected. The Phone was Tagged into the VLAN and got an IP in the Voice VLAN.

After that I removed the Voice VLAN from the specific VLAN. No Voice VLAN is currently defined.

Problem is that, even after resetting the VLAN on the phone the phone is tagged into the Voice VLAN (That is no longer defined as Voice VLAN) every time again.

Any idea if that could be a bug and the Settings are not reverted back after removing a Voice VLAN?

If the port that you are plugged into is untagged for the same VLAN it will use it. If this is not the case reach out to support to investigate.

The VLAN is tagged on the Port of the phone and not untagged.

That is the problem. So it shouldn't get tagged to this vlan anymore.

I'm already in contact with support
