  • 1.  Switch lost local password

    Hi Guys,

    I saw someone with same issue but I will create a new thread.

    Because of the lack op capabilities of the online portal we decided to convert to local management...
    After conversion, the switches for a local password...
    So I give in our passwords...
    After reboot 1 switch did not login anymore because user/passwords were not recognized...
    I tought, I probably made a mistake so i reset the switch and reinstalled it...
    The other had no issues...

    I configured it...
    Password saved in lastpass...
    No problems...
    Multiple restarts, multiple logins no problem...
    Because of the earlier issues, I even backupped my startup and my running config to check if my logins were correctly saved into the switch...
    Both configurations have the correct details...

    But today, I wanted to login...
    Credentials do not work anymore..
    Things I tried:
    * my login + password
    * admin / admin
    * admin / password
    * Instant on login / password...

    So my guess is that my first issue was also not my error because it was a copy / paste which means I now had it on 2 devices.

    And now on the community, I see people having the same issue...

    Is there a way to only reset the password like on some other switches?
    Is there a other password we can try?
    Resetting the switch everytime the switch loses the user credentials, is not an option...

    Please need help...
    If you guys want,  I can provide you with the configs.

    By default, the username is admin and there is no password. After the initial log on, the administrator is prompted to configure a password. If you are still having issues please reach out to support to assist in troubleshooting.

    Hello guys,

    I performed the firmware update of: 1.0.2.0 (125) to version 1.0.4.0 (133), after restarting the equipment the access password was lost, I am not able to access the switch with the configured password, nor with the password standard factory settings.
