Here is alignment of Aruba Instant On with Ubiquiti APs, researched to the best of my abilities.

    Competitive Model

    AIO Best Offer

    Notes

    Ubiquiti Lite (UAP-AC-Lite)

    AIO AP11

    Both 2x2:2.  AP11 is Wave 2.

    Ubiquiti AC In Wall (UAP-AC-IW)

    AIO AP11D

Both 2x2:2.  AP11D is Wave 2 and comes with desk stand and in-wall mount

    Ubiquiti LR (UAP-AC-LR)

    AIO AP12

    LR is 2x2:2 on 5GHz and 3x3:3 on 2.4GHz.

AP12 is 3x3:3 both bands, so better performance on 5GHz which is where you want it.

    Ubiquiti Pro (UAP-AC-PRO)

    AIO AP12

    Both 3x3:3.  AP12 is Wave 2

    Ubiquiti NanoHD (UAP-NANO-HD)

    AIO AP15

    Both 4x4:4 Wave 2

    Ubiquiti M (UAP-AC-M)

    Ubiquiti M-Pro (UAP-AC-M-Pro)

    AIO AP17 (outdoor)

All AIO models (including those above) support Smart Mesh, allowing extending connections wirelessly to another AP.  AP17 models are all weather outdoor APs.
