Yes, Instant On APs are only configurable through the app or cloud portal, which allows you to remotely manage or configure the network just from your app without any subscriptions. Instant On APs support smart mesh, i.e. you can extend the network wirelessly with just another Instant On AP and can be any model say AP22 or AP25 for example. Aruba Instant On uses a cloud controller, and there is no need for any on-prem controller or hardware to run

I want deploy a new AP to my home setup and replace the old one.
I purchased an AP15 but can only configure it via the portal. I think I just purchased the wrong product.
What I'm searching for is an AP that is just configured locally via webinterface (no portal, app, cloud, ...) and it has to be possible to expand the wireless network later with another AP (so there has to be an integrated WLAN controller?).
What AP can I use in this case? The AP15 really isn't what I wanted...
