    Hello everyone,

I would like your help with a issue we have in the company i work for. We have a Aruba 1830 Switch and iam trying to plug a Aruba 10G SFP+ SR. While doing so the light is turning from green to orange and then red. I checked my logs and it says  " 49 - non-compliant SFP inserted ". We are using Aruba's SFP , in Aruba Switch and it doesn't seem to work. I also check if the SFP is fautly to another Aruba 1930 switch we have and its working as intented. No issues at all.

Any idea why 1830 doesn't recognise the SFP+?

    Hello,

After looking at the 1830 product stack. It looks like all 1830 models support SFP, but not SFP+ (1gig, not 10gig). In order to get that switch up and working, you will need to use a 1G SFP SR transceiver.

    Thanks

Thank you very much for your reply,

Iam looking up to the market for the transceiver you told me about but the problem is that all the SR's are 10gig only. I suppose 1830 cant support the 10gig SFP right ?
    I found Aruba's SFP 1gig R9D16A LC SX , will it work ?
