Hello all,

We are facing issues while trying to import the config of our Aruba 1960 24G switches.


Problem:
When configuring settings on the switch and importing said config on another switch, we cannot access it anymore.

The switches are updated to the latest image (2.6.0.73).
We checked that the config made is correct and that the switch would still be accessible with this config. We checked this by configuring our settings on one switch, after which it still was accessible. We saved the config to the startup-config and did a reboot, after which it still was accessible.

Now to the strange part: When exporting this config on this switch and importing it again to the same switch we exported it from, without making any changes, we can't access the switch after reboot anymore. The same happens when we import the config on any other switch of the same model.
We also found that when deleting the the interface configurations in the exported startup-config file, we can successfully import it again. But as soon as the config contains interface configurations the switches would not be accessible anymore after the reboot.

We attached one of our configs.


Is this a known Bug? Why aren't we able to export a working config and import it again without losing access to the switch? Does anyone face the same issue?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for your reply. It seems that I cant upload the file so I will paste its contents below.
To elaborate more on the issuse:

• VLAN 40 is the management VLAN
• Port 25 is the uplink interface on the aruba switch, which is tagged for VLAN 10 and 40.
• The uplink switch is a HPE 1950 (JG963A) model.
• The interface on the HPE 1950 (JG963A) is also tagged for VLAN 40
• This config works on the aruba switch, there is connection to other devices via the uplink interface 25 (the connection also works after a reboot)

But when importing this config on the same switch or any other switch (same model) we cant connect to it. The only way to import the config is to delete the management VLAN line and also the VLAN settings on the interface 25 in the config before uploading it to the switch.

Hello all,

We are facing issues while trying to import the config of our Aruba 1960 24G switches.


Problem:
When configuring settings on the switch and importing said config on another switch, we cannot access it anymore.

The switches are updated to the latest image (2.6.0.73).
We checked that the config made is correct and that the switch would still be accessible with this config. We checked this by configuring our settings on one switch, after which it still was accessible. We saved the config to the startup-config and did a reboot, after which it still was accessible.

Now to the strange part: When exporting this config on this switch and importing it again to the same switch we exported it from, without making any changes, we can't access the switch after reboot anymore. The same happens when we import the config on any other switch of the same model.
We also found that when deleting the the interface configurations in the exported startup-config file, we can successfully import it again. But as soon as the config contains interface configurations the switches would not be accessible anymore after the reboot.

We attached one of our configs.


Is this a known Bug? Why aren't we able to export a working config and import it again without losing access to the switch? Does anyone face the same issue?

Any help would be appreciated.
