  • 1.  Problem with third party SFP module after upgrade from 2.6.0 to 3.0.0 on 1930

    Posted 9 days ago

    Hello

    I am having a "weird" issue when using the J4858D from fs.com in 1930 24G Class4 PoE (JL683B) switches

on fw 2.6.0 works perfectly stable no issues since forever

on fw 3.0.0 the transceiver is suspended for excessive link flap

my luck is that I run the test in a lab before deploying in production

    any ideas?

    thanks

    Hi Catalin,

I'd suggest taking a backup of your current switch configuration ( if you are using local management).

Then trying a factory reset , by following these steps from the 1930 user guide

If the SFP still does not work after the factory reset, I guess your options are to open a case with HPe support, or alternatively try "temporarily" reverting back to the 2.6 version of the firmware & verify the SFPs still work as they did before.
From what I could find, the 1930 supports these SFPs
    Good luck,
    Travis.
