Any release notes available?  Should we be nervous about updates?

another question, how are these software updates rolled out?  I have maybe 12 Aruba IO systems and only maybe 3 of these systems show the new software available which I forced to update immediately instead of waiting.  The other systems so far don't show any new SW pending and even if I change the software update time which I would assume would query the servers they still don't show an update available.  Normally I prefer to do my own system in case there are problems like we had with the 2.5 roll out.  Are you guys just trying to keep your servers from crashing with requests and going through the system lists alphabetically?  I think we need more control over these update.

Any news on this post from 3 days ago, I'm in the same position.

Even after setting up a new site with an AP11D its still on 2.5.0.

I keep updating the sw update day and time on my home system and still nothing happens.  Still only 3 of ! maybe 12 AIO systems are updated to 2.6 and I've adjusted update day/times on other systems and they still haven't.  My guess is Aruba turned off update servers or their update algorithm is broke.  Sure would be nice if they communicated better but I guess leaving folks in the dark is standard tech protocol now a days.

    Hello,

The release information states that aruba is releasing the update in phases, not to all sites at once.

The update isn't available for our sites yet either, we'll have to be patient and check every couple days.

It says "Hey community, we have started rolling out the new Instant On 2.6.0 version. The software delivery process will take several days to reach all users. Each user will receive a software update notification when the new version arrives at your site."

It's  not great if you want to test it then apply it to a customers devices.

I agree 100% with regards to pre-testing first. I'm not a fan of this style roll-out either and wish that aruba had a better way of rolling out releases.

Your post (and VAV's) made it seem as if you couldn't understand why it wasn't available to download. I guess we'll need to be patient, hey? 🤷‍♂️

    9 days now.

If 2.6.0 has been pulled due to issues someone should say, better still don't announce something till its ready.

I did get two more systems updated so maybe now 4 of 12 AIO systems are updated but seems to be no rhyme or reason to which got the push.  Again this is just a bizarre way to roll things out and doesn't give us the opportunity to jand select which should go first so we can observe how it behaves.  Typically I'd do my system first then maybe a nearby part time residence who is somewhat less important or just less hostile when shit breaks down.

Shit like this really makes me wonder about this company or at least this lower level HP product line.  Cisco SMB was pretty pathetic but I expected more from this line.

Agreed, this is getting silly now.

@JM52 - May we have an update on 2.6's status, please? Has it been pulled/delayed?
There's no option to update on any of our sites yet, and as @Aruba K mentioned it's been nine days now.

We are aware of the feedback you all have shared about the 2.6.0 release. We are delivering the new software in multiple phases. The first phase has rolled out and is why only some sites have received update notifications. During our software rollout process, a small number of the initial 2.6.0 users reported an issue with some devices disconnecting from the cloud portal after the upgrade. The issue is inconsistent and does not impact all 2.6.0users. Our team has taken caution and paused the software delivery process while investigating the issue. I will keep you updated as we progress with the 2.6.0 release.
