Hi All,

I want to buy 3 or 4 AP11 and set them up as a private mesh network at home. The question i have is - what is the appoximate WiFi are coverage for one AP11? 

i am trying to work out how many i need to purchase. Thank you in adavance for your help.

@isitme52 Coverage area will vary based on the client environment but you could typically see up to 400 Square meters. For mesh or "over the air" we only recommend a single hop as when you get into multiple hops your bandwidth will decrease by 50% on each hop past the first one. 

@GThiesen Thank you for the information. I am replacing my current WiFi which has 3 AP's using Cat6 connections back to a switch. So my intention is to purchase 3 AP11's and POE switch. With 2 AP's on the ground floor and the 3rd AP in the loft to cover the upstairs. Based on the typical square meterage and an allowance for the walls and ceilings 3 AP's should suffice.

I'm assuming the 3 AP's will "mesh" together for a seamless WiFi experience?
