When you create your first site, you get to choose. It is really quite flexible and you may wish to read the online manual and perhaps play with the portal.
You can also add guest SSIDs and one for the children that goes off at bedtime, things like that.
The house project has something like 12 APs, they were easy to set up although the bracket, I will not be singing songs about that. Maybe I should have bought the special bracket too but I heard bad things about it.
(I chose Aruba InstantOn because people that don't understand networks have to manage it ^^;)

When setting up an ap22, does it create a new SSID or simply adopt the existing wifi SSID from main router ?
Or is there a choice of adopting existing SSID & creating new ?
