    Hello,

New to Aruba, I am exploring the idea to buy Aruba Instant On APs for a small office (3 APs + switch), 20 people.
ISP provides a FTTH connection with ~ 600Mb/s bandwidth.
The switch will also receive direction connection of 4 VoIP phones.
Usage is : VoIP, Google Meet, browsing, file exchange, Team Viewer mainly...

    I would like them to broadcast 2 SSIDs : MyCompany-Staff & MyCompany-Guests

People connected to MyCompany-Guests will have their traffic reach the internet through our ISP directly, while people connected to MyCompany-Staff will be tunnelled to a VPN (SSTP) and reach the Internet through the the provider of the VPN service.
MyCompany-Staff will have no limit in usage.
MyCompany-Guests may be capped to a max of 50Mb/s usage in total.

Is there a way to separate the traffic of these two SSIDs in VLANs and setup and maintain a SSTP VPN connection on Aruba devices?
Can it be done in the APs or should a specific device (which one) be added at the edge of the network before the ISP router?

    Thanks for your help,

    ltr

Yes, Aruba Instant On APs supports Employee and Guest SSID. Guest SSID will reach the internet directly without having reachability to employee SSID. Guest SSID supports NAT and can be enabled to work local DHCP providing an IP address to the guest clients.
A switch would be helpful to connect the VOIP devices and also connect APs through the PoE support. No VPN support on Aruba Instant On APs.

It's important to note that while Aruba Instant On supports VLANs and basic network segmentation, for advanced VPN capabilities like SSTP, you may need a dedicated VPN appliance or server. This could be a separate device at the edge of your network before the ISP router. Make sure that the chosen VPN solution is compatible with your network requirements and provides the necessary security.
