Instant On - Wireless

I have an AP22 that's currently on version 2.5.0.0_83058.

I've tried removing and factory resetting it and that seems to have made things worse...

I try to adopt it and it says, please wait an important software update is in process, and then it says it finishes just a few seconds after that.  The AP goes in the synchronizing in the device list for about 10 minutes and then says offline.  If I pull up the web page for the AP, about all it says of any usefulness is "Onboarding Status: Error"

I've tried factory resetting it multiple times, but the sequence of events it the same.  I see there's a microUSB port on the thing, is there any way to upgrade it manually?
