    hi everyone
i have a sonicwall router/firewall and vlans are set to it, vlan 1,20,30.. now i have my aruba 2930f switch connected to my sonicwall, and i set the vlan20 with its corresponding ports and all worked well.. all untagged ports of my aruba are receiving dhcp ip's from my dhcp server(sonicwall).

now, i have my aruba 1930 connected to my 2930f aruba, when i set the vlan 20 and untatgged the corresponding ports. it wont get a dhcp ips from my sonicwall firewall.
i understood that my firewall does the routing works. because my 2 aruba switches are functioning as layer 2 bridgemode

    please help me. thankyouu

    Hi Adrian,

Thanks for the post and the network diagram.
Is that the Uplink port (1) of the 2930f and the downlink port (2) of the 2930f have the same configuration with respect to VLANs?
On the Instant On 1930 uplink port (2) please check if both VLANs (20,30) are assigned configured.

    hi JM52,
the uplink port1 of aruba 2930f goes to the firewall, the downlink port2 goes to the port2 of 1930.

the vlans 20,30 are tagged to the uplink port1 of the aruba 2930..

you mean, i have to tagged the port2 to the port 1? inorder to make it work?

thank you so much for the reply

    Hey,
Just checked the issue and the problem is that port 2 of 2930f should be also tagged on VLAN 20, otherwise VLAN 20 traffic cannot be forwarded to the 1930.

On Aruba 2930f you should tagged VLAN 20 as well on port 2. e.g

    Aruba 2930f
    vlan 20
     tagged 1,2

    Aruba 1930
    vlan 20
    tagged 2

Similar with vlan 30 on both switch if you want to extend VLAN 30 to both switch

    Hope this helps
