For high end residential installations aesthetics are extremely important if the APs are going to be allowed visible in the space and not tucked away in closets. Mounts need to be flush and slimline and these current mounting options are going to be deal breakers for a lot of customers. Normally I use Cisco WAP571’s which are nice and clean looking and I’m trying to shift to these simpler Instant On AP15’s but with these mounts they’re not attractive and if they can be installed in a more aesthetically pleasing manner they can then possibly be installed where they will do the most good not just where they won’t be seen. It will be hard even with a clean flush mount to install where they should be but the way they are now very few clients would permit their installation in plain sight. Just something to think about............
