    Hi Marty,

I'm working with my team to discover why this is happening to your AP22. My apologies for the inconvenience this may cause you.

Original topology with no issues for months
The AP22 sits above my desk to I immediately know when something is wrong. The Alert history via the mobile app and the cycle begins with my AP11D going offline first. Previously I though it was the AP22 that started the cycle. Here is the sequence of what I have done to help isolate the problem. No problem with any wired connection during this issue.
    • Removed and reapplied power to the AP22 - No improvement
    • Removed and reapplied power to the 1830 - No improvement
    • Reset the AP22 - was fine for about a day then problem started - No improvement
    • Connected the AP22 directly to the 1930 - No improvement
I changed the topology by unplugging the AP11D wired connection
    • Network was stable and no issues or reboots for 18 hours, reverted back to verify.
    • Reconnected the wired 1830 connection to the AP11D, reboot cycle started, Power up, sync then reboot.
    • Disconnected the 1830 connection - stability restored.
This is where I'm currently at. The downside is that I don't know what caused the reboot/sync sequence start, when everything was fine for a long time. Also the AP11D bandwidth is really poor with only the mesh connection. I only wish there were more detailed logs available.

    Hi,

I'm having the same problem with two AP22s; I think it started about a week or so ago and they both seem to be rebooting daily on average (they seem to have rebooted more frequently in the last few days but before that it was daily).

Are there any logs or other diagnostics I can look at to determine why this is?  Since it's both units but my switch and the rest of the network seems fine is it possible it's update related?   These both say they are on version 2.7.0.

    thank you

@RV45 Sounds like my situation. I hadn't thought about it being update related. I don't recall having this issue before updating the firmware to 2.7.0. The earliest unhealthy report was 12/5/22. The Aruba Mobile app only goes back to 12/5/22, but I've got to believe the units have the complete logs with more data.

    Hi JM52

I've isolated the cause of AP22 reboots, they are triggered by the AP11D. The AP11D reboots and then is followed by the AP22 rebooting. I'm guessing in response to the AP11D going away. One configuration item I noticed on my AP11D that isn't per the install guide is that LAN connection. When connected to E3 the AP11D starts the reboot loop. It does not do this when connected to E0 as instructed. I'm going to leave connected to E0 for a few days to confirm this. This still doesn't explain why my wireless network was fine for art least 6 months with LAN connect to E3, then all of a sudden starts rebooting a few times a day ramping to continuously over the course of a week. If all goes well with the above, I'll move back to my original configuration and AP placement, but with the AP11D connected via E0 instead E3. If the reboots start up again during this process, I'll contact customer support.

It has been over two weeks without any reboots. Still not sure why using the LAN connected to E3 on the AP11D worked for long and then started having problems.
